UPDATING FOR TRNG ENGINE (ngle, NG_Tom2Pc, NG_Center and references)

In this section you find little zip file contaning only a part of trng engine or ng_center program. They should be decompressed in TRLE folder (of trng engine) when they are labeled as "TRNG UPDATE", while if the label says "NG_CENTER UPDATE" you'll have to decompress them in folder where you installed NG_Center program.

Remark: since following files are only updates, if you have not yet installed the main setup "TRNG Binaries" and "NG_Center program - setup" you have to install them before use following updates.

NG_CENTER UPDATE v. 1.1.0.49 (222 Kb)

  • Corrected description of ocb for KeyPad object, the old description gave an uncorrect ocb value as example to get the keypad working with four digits code.
  • Added new script command ItemGroup, to store a list of moveable indices and then use the ItemGroup to perform some operation on all objects listed in ItemGroup command.
  • Added customize constant CUST_SPEED_MOVING to set the default speed for action trigger moving moveables
  • Added global constants for GlobalTRigger: GT_LOADED_SAVEGAME and GT_SAVED_SAVEGAME to detect when the game has been saved or loaded.
  • Added script command ColorRGB= to set a rgb color to use with some flipeffects or actions.
TRNG_UPDATE v. 1.1.7.9 (418 Kb)

  • Fixed bug: when trng engine found a bass.dll in trle folder, it didn't extract its own built in bass.dll verion, using the found bass.dll, but if this dll had a wrong version number the game had a crash. Now TRNG will delete a bass.dll in trle folder when it has a wrong version number.
  • Added new flipeffects to attract Lara in specific direction. The flipeffects work like sinks but you can use them also on ground, with or less floor contact. Their description starts with : "Lara. (Physics) ..."
  • Added flipeffects to change some weather stuff: lightning, layer1, layer2, their speeds and colors in run time.
    Remark: the change in progressive mode (color fade) for sky is uncompatible with lightning mode enabled, hence, you should use flipeffect to disable temporanely the lightining mode while the changing sky color is working, and at end you can enable newly the lightning.
  • Fixed bug: the status of animation ranges was not preserved in savegame.
    (status = if animated textures were moving or less)
  • Fixed bug: the further looped sound on second channel was not preserved in savegame
  • Fixed bug: some triangle framments of animated textures were not animated in game.
  • Added flipeffect to show text, freezing the game until player hit Escape key.

SOURCE SAMPLES COLLECTION

WARNING: Please don't convert simply the .wad file in tr4 format! To play correctly belov sample you have to copy script.txt and english.txt file in TRLE/SCRIPT folder, then you have to convert these script files using NG_Center (click on [Build] button in SCRIPT tab), and now you have to load .prj file with NGLE.exe and click on [Exit and play button]

In current example you find many new features of TRNG applied in game:
  • Usage of GlobalTrigger, TriggerGroup, ItemGroup and Organizer script commands
  • Usage of new flipeffect "Lara (Physics)..." to get Lara perform huge jumps or she's moved by rolling tape.
  • Usage of P-Frame animated textures to show selectivly some drawn or texts on face: "ON", "OFF", "OPEN", "CLOSED"
  • Example of ItemGroup to have a moving speaked ceiling
  • Example of fragmented triggers to have crossed sensible rows
  • Example of Organizer command to perform dynamic weather changing using new "Weather" flipeffects.
